Responsibilities
Reporting to the Superintendent of Education, the SAT will provide leadership and guidance to support effective literacy and numeracy instruction for Kindergarten to Grade 8 learners across the district, with a special focus on the implementation of the revised mathematics and language curriculum. Primarily, the SAT will support staff capacity‑building related to diagnostic assessment, program planning, intervention, and gap‑closing strategies. The SAT will also work to support educators and school teams with the implementation of board‑based literacy and numeracy programs and resources, including technological tools and platforms that support student learning and teacher assessment practices.
