Job Summary
Reporting to the Senior Director Provincial Medical Imaging program, the Zone Director of Diagnostic Imaging leads a technologically complex and diverse regional diagnostic imaging program and is responsible and accountable for the delivery of diagnostic and therapeutic imaging services throughout all NL Health Services Eastern Urban Zone facilities. The Zone Director provides leadership, vision, and technical direction to a dedicated team of highly skilled health professionals and support staff, fostering a patient-centric culture of safety and continuous quality improvement. The position is responsible for the strategic and operational planning for the Medical Imaging Program. The incumbent coordinates and directs the operational, financial and staffing activities of regional imaging services such as radiology, interventional and therapeutic angiography, ultrasound, CT, MRI, nuclear medicine and PET.
