Job Description
Role
To work with the responsible pharmacist for dispensary services to ensure the safe and effective running of the dispensary services and ensure compliance with both national and local guidelines relevant to the area.
To ensure accurate and timely supply of discharge prescriptions, controlled drugs, stock and non stock to wards and departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake the day‑to‑day planning and organisation of the dispensary services workload and staffing to ensure a prompt and responsive service to patients.
- Plan and prioritise the workload of technical staff and assistant technical staff assigned to dispensary services to ensure effective and efficient workflow to meet both the needs of the patients and the department.
