Overview
The Elevating Devices Safety Officer is accountable for maintaining and enhancing public safety by educating the public and industry to ensure that codes, regulations and standards of safety are understood and observed. The role is a Regular, Full‑Time, Union position based in the Lower Mainland Region (Vancouver or Langley preferred).
Responsibilities
- Inspect: Provide inspection services including worksite audits, incident investigations and hazard eliminations to clients and stakeholders to ensure proper implementation of safety regulations, codes and standards. Provide input on variance requests to Senior Safety Officer when requested.
- Educate: Educate clients and stakeholders on how to meet safety requirements and provide information on new requirements and trends by creating and providing presentations, demonstrations or coaching.
