Job Description
Join OSM Thome as 3rd Engineer on an offshore cable-layer trading worldwide. You will work in an international engine team, keeping all machinery running safely and efficiently while supporting subsea cable operations.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Assist in the safe and efficient operation of main engines, auxiliaries and all engine room systems
- Carry out routine watchkeeping duties and engine room rounds
- Perform planned maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment
- Keep engine room logs, records and reports up to date
- Follow all safety procedures and support safe working practices on board
- Support cable operations equipment as required
**Requirements**:
- Valid 3rd Engineer (III/1 or higher) CoC, unlimited
- All STCW certificates and documents up to date
- Previous offshore or DP / cable-layer experience is an advantage
- Good English communication skills
- Fit for duty with valid medical certificate
