Position Overview
Reporting to the Lead – Physical Plant Services, the Engineer 5th Class is responsible for monitoring and maintaining building and medical‑related systems and equipment in a 5th‑class plant. The incumbent exercises appropriate initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities, work methods and actions on unusual matters, and works consistently with the mission, vision, values and policies of Southern Health‑Santé Sud.
Experience
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a maintenance position.
- Previous experience working with electrical, carpentry, plumbing, heating or air‑conditioning.
Education
- Power Engineering – 5th Class Certificate as recognized by the Province of Manitoba.
- Other suitable combinations of education and experience may be considered.
