Overview

Our client located in Simcoe Ontario, has an immediate opening for an Accounting Specialist. This position reports directly to the Assistant Manager, Accounting.

Summary

The accounting specialist works within the accounting department to perform daily accounts payable and general accounting activities. This person requires strong organizational skills and high attention to detail to ensure deadlines are met. This role requires strong communication skills to facilitate discussions within the department as well as multiple other departments.

Responsibilities

  • Daily Accounts Payable (A/P) tasks – printing invoices, matching, vouchers, entering, scanning, filing.
  • Review account statements, update reports and other records and review for accuracy
  • Prepare and analyze account reconciliations as required.
  • Month-end A/P tasks – support closing procedures as required
