Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Accounts Clerk based in Amboseli. The Accounts clerk will be responsible for handling day-to-day financial transactions, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and supporting the finance team in maintaining accounts. Key tasks include:

1.Record and reconcile daily financial transactions including invoices, receipts, and payments.

  1. Coordinate monthly stock takes with every department to ensure all stocks are tallying and takes corrective measures where need arises.

3.Maintain accounts payable and receivable ledgers.

4.Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and statements.

5.Support payroll processing and staff timekeeping records.

6.Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and external regulations.

7.Respond to vendor and guest inquiries related to billing and payments.

8.Receive, inspect, and store all incoming goods and supplies.

9.Maintain accurate inventory records using the hotel's inventory management system.

10.Issue stock to departments based on approved requisitions.

11.Conduct regular stock audits and report discrepancies.

12.Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies to maintain par levels.

13.Ensure cleanliness, safety, and organization of storage areas.

14.Distributes within agreed timeline comparison reports and cost center reports according to schedules as agreed with management.

  1. Closely maintains and monitors the fixed assets system.

  2. Applies cost accounting methods to achieve accurate representation of cost center performance.

17.Work with both internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits.

18.Verify quality and quantities of goods received and if they are as per the set standards.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Accounting and Finance fundamentals, including accurate handling of financial records.
  • Experience in inventory management and account reconciliation
  • Strong Communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with team members and external stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in Accounting
