Job Summary
Reporting to the Recreation Manager, the Activity Worker II carries out established resident activity programs designed to promote social engagement, physical well‑being, cognitive stimulation, and quality of life for residents. Working within the mission, vision, and values of George Derby Centre, the Activity Worker II supports a resident‑centered approach to recreation and leisure programming.
Key Responsibilities
Recreation Programming
- Implements established activity programs for residents, including arts and crafts, sports, woodworking, cooking, gardening, exercise, music, games, and special events.
- Sets up and organizes furnishings, equipment, and supplies required for activity programs.
- Instructs residents in the techniques and safe use of materials and equipment associated with various activities. <...
