Job Description
McMaster University's Anthropology Department seeks a Sessional Faculty member for the Winter 2027 term to teach Anthropology 3AS3. Engage students in archaeology and societal impacts within a dynamic classroom setting.
This position is targeted for highly qualified candidates with a Ph.D. in Anthropology or related fields. The role requires previous successful teaching experience at the university level and a commitment to equity and diversity in the academic environment. Classes are scheduled on Wednesdays and Fridays for a total of 3 units.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver lectures for Anthropology 3AS3 course
• Engage with approximately 40 students in comprehensive discussions
• Develop course materials and assessments
• Foster an inclusive classroom environment
• Participate in departmental activities as needed
