Overview
The Shift Manager is an operations leadership position responsible for managing shift operations at a delivery station with a primary focus on safety and productivity. This role leads teams of Associates to achieve operational targets while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties include working rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and additional weekend/holiday duties during peak events.
Key Responsibilities- Champion workplace safety as the #1 priority in all decisions.
- Ensure 100% compliance with WHS protocols and conduct daily safety audits.
- Investigate incidents immediately and implement corrective actions.
- Lead by example in following safety procedures and wearing required PPE.
- Drive achievement of key metrics.
- Supervise daily operations (inbound, sort, dispatch) during night shifts.
- Manage delivery cycles (Same Day, Late Same Day, Cycle 2).
