Assistant Powerhouse Chief
Responsibilities: Assist the Utilities Services Manager/Chief Engineer with operation, maintenance, and repair of building systems equipment and facilities to provide reliable utility support to all HCC industrial processes and facility requirements. Oversee equipment including HVAC, boilers, chillers, steam turbines and engines, gas compression systems, air compressors, purified water systems, and associated mechanical and electrical systems in power generation. Supervise onsite Operating Engineers (2nd Class, 3rd Class, 4th Class, and Co‑op positions). Ensure safe and efficient operation of a 1st Class high‑pressure steam plant, including cogeneration systems, boilers, air compressors, water treatment systems, ammonia refrigeration, and air scrubbers. Plan, schedule, and direct 2nd Class Operating Engineers and external contractors in corrective and preventative maintenance activities.
