Job Description
Reporting to the CNE/CNO the ACNO is responsible for maintaining patient operational flow between all admission sources including procedure areas, ambulatory and inpatient services, and is accountable for developing and maintaining systems that maximize patient throughput in the context of excellent clinical care, compassionate care and fiscal responsibility. The ACNO assumes overall responsibility for the planning, priority setting, coordination and evaluation of programs of nursing care, education, and quality improvement for the designated clinical departments. Additionally, responsible for oversight of off-shift hospital operations and communications with AOC in managing off-shift urgent or emergent clinical and admirative issues. The ACNO is responsible for establishing proven methods, evidence-based practice that lead to best in class patient flow/capacity management results.
