Job Description
What You Will Do
Day-to-day responsibilities will depend on where the product is in its cycle, but you can expect to:
- Design, build, and maintain server-side application logic, APIs, and backend services that power the client's product
- Architect and implement RESTful APIs that are clean, well-documented, versioned, and built to be consumed reliably by frontend and third-party systems
- Work with relational databases — primarily PostgreSQL or MySQL — including schema design, query optimization, indexing strategies, and data integrity
- Handle authentication and authorization systems — JWT, OAuth2, session management — with a security‑first mindset appropriate for EU-based clients and GDPR-relevant environments
- Collaborate with frontend developers to define API contracts, align on data structures, and ensure smooth integration across the stack
