About the Job
Wenco has offices located in Australia, Canada and Chile. This role is based in Vancouver, Canada or Santiago, Chile. We are building a completely new product, from the ground up with a small 3‑person team. There is no legacy code to mend or care for.
Team Composition
- 1× Linux C++ developer for onboard and backend processing, implementing business logic and OpenAPI endpoints.
- 1× Web Frontend developer.
- 1× working manager with 25 years of experience in creating embedded software for mining equipment.
Product Context
The new product will be serving the underground mining market. The product is composed of an embedded computer onboard the equipment that also has an operator interface. The mobile equipment communicates with a backend server and receives instructions from the equipment dispatcher and production planning. Both systems will be hosted and deployed on Linux.
