Join Ontario Northland as a Conductor Trainee and play a key role in train operations. This hands-on position focuses on safety, communication, and customer service during every shift.
In this role, reporting to the Manager of Train Service, you’ll work within the Rail Transportation department, based in either Englehart or Cochrane. Your responsibilities will include coordinating crew activities, ensuring compliance with Canadian Rail Operating Rules (CROR), and assisting passengers with inquiries. You will be required to respond to dynamic operational conditions while maintaining high service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee passenger and freight train operations
• Communicate essential train orders to the crew
• Engage in switching operations of train cars
• Ride equipment securely while on duty
• Assist passengers and manage fare collection
