Board of Directors
Uzima Women Relief Group International (Uzima) is seeking Board of Directors to advance its mission. Desired candidates have administrative and fiscal oversight, with valuable experience in financial management and legal matters. Board members from the corporate sector are encouraged to assist with fundraising to create sustainable, unrestricted funding.
Board members will attend quarterly meetings and uphold strict anti‑discrimination and anti‑oppression policies. Commitment to the duties, constitution, and by‑laws is required.
Responsibilities
- Attend all board and committee meetings and actively participate.
- Review and comment on minutes and reports.
- Stay informed about the organization’s mission, services, policies, and programs.
- Monitor developments in the community, economy, government, etc., that may benefit the organization.
