Responsibilities

• Operate woodworking machines such as power saws, jointers, mortisers and shapers to cut, shape and form parts and components.
• Prepare specifications of custom‑made cabinets that maximize storage.
• Shape surfaces or edges of wood workpieces using hand tools such as planes, chisels, or wood files.
• Study plans, specifications or drawings of articles to be made.
• Operate CAD and other computer software systems.
• Trim joints and fit parts and sub‑assemblies together to form complete units and reinforce joints.
• Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain or polish to finished products; prepare and apply laminated plastics.
