Position Summary
A Deli Bakery Associate provides exemplary customer service by adhering to the basic beliefs and values of Walmart, maintains and zones the Bakery and/or Deli area, and assists with stocking and the sale of goods.
What you’ll do
- Zones the department to ensure product shelves, tables and bunkers are organization and product is in the correct location
- Rotates stock and checks for expired products
- Ensures the merchandise is properly signed and priced
- Adheres to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell‑by dates, and expiration dates
- Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; preparing hot food merchandise and providing requested assistance
- Prepares deli food orders utilizing utensils; preparing chicken by using rotisserie oven; and fill prepared side dishes for placement into display area
