Caretaker (Casual)
Department: Recreation & Culture.
Responsibilities
- Assist management in achieving efficient operation in the Recreation Services Section through reliable performance of custodian/security tasks, following municipal policies and safety practices.
- Perform custodial/security services of municipal facilities: minor cleaning, ensure facilities are presentable and usable by the public, secure facilities when not in use, clean washrooms, lobbies, foyers, manage waste disposal and recycling activities.
- Maintain outdoor areas such as parking lots, manage safe and clear access to facilities, remove debris and shoveling snow around entrances, steps, and wheelchair ramps as assigned.
- Work prescribed shift schedules, including overtime as required.
