Responsibilities
- Construction and repair of cabinets and furniture
- Construction of studs and drywall
- Installation of acoustic T-Bar ceilings
- Installation and repair of all types of hardware
- Carry out repairs to floors, corlon and vinyl tiles, etc
- Prepare and lay out own material
- Carry out other carpentry duties as assigned
- Coverage at other campuses as required
Qualifications and Skills
- Secondary school completion and completion of a recognized Trade and Apprenticeship program
- Must have valid Province of Ontario Certificate of Qualification in Carpentry
- Significant recent related experience as a carpenter required, ideally in a hospital/healthcare setting
- Locksmith qualifications and skills are desirable
- Maintenance experience essential
- Ability to communicate effectively
