Role Overview
The Category Buyer reports to the Purchasing Leader and oversees MRO and indirect procurement activities, including sourcing, contract management, purchase order management, and cost savings initiatives for the Muzquiz site and other assigned areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the transactional procurement process from requisition to purchase order closure, ensuring timely order placement and delivery follow‑up.
- Maintain procurement performance metrics and support uninterrupted operations.
- Resolve operational issues proactively with suppliers and internal customers, building trust‑based, service‑oriented relationships.
- Align stakeholders and provide internal support necessary for successful project implementation.
- Conduct negotiations, manage supplier selection, and review supplier performance to ensure contract compliance and customer satisfaction.
