Job Description
Under general supervision, the CCL Radiology Technologist operates digital radiological imaging equipment in accordance with guidelines outlined in Title 17. Oversees the performance of quality control procedures. Enforces principles of radiation safety and practices radiation safety procedures. Assists the cardiologists, pulmonologist, and CV surgeons during diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab and OR Hybrid Room. Assists the professional nursing staff with the preparation of the patients for diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Prepares, operates and ensures the proper functioning of equipment associated with the performance of these procedures. Demonstrates knowledge of human anatomy. Monitors and records events, including the performance of hemodynamic calculations. Operates digital processing equipment and performs quality control procedures as required.
