Detailed Overview
Provides assessments, brief interventions and referral services for youth and adults who are experiencing issues related to problematic substance use and/or addictions and/or concurrent disorders; provides services to clients and their families such as in the form of daytox program. Works in collaboration with community stakeholders and partners in creating awareness around issues related to problematic substance use. Responsibilities Provides clinically relevant assessment, relationship building, counselling, treatment goal setting, after care and relapse prevention planning, conflict resolution and referral services for individuals, families and groups. Assesses client needs and consults with clients and others such as families, physicians, and other referral sources, when appropriate, to insure the development of a comprehensive treatment plan.
