Job Description
Step into the role of Third Engineer aboard a coastal shipping vessel, enjoying a permanent position with a 6 on, 6 off roster. Contribute to the maintenance of critical systems that ensure safe operations.
As a key member of the onboard team, you will report to the First Engineer and focus on the operational readiness of the fuel and lube oil purification systems, boilers, and air compression units. Your proactive maintenance will enhance the safety and efficiency of our marine operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure main engine operation aligns with safety standards
• Oversee boiler functionality according to Class guidelines
• Execute maintenance on fuel and lube oil purifiers
• Control air compressors and boiler feed water systems
• Complete assigned duties as necessary
Requirements:
• Required certification: AMSA Marine Order 72 – Engineer Class 3
• AMSA Engine Watchkeeper CoC/COR Unlimited
