Drive community participation as a Community Engagement Coordinator for the District of Squamish. Shape civic initiatives through effective stakeholder strategies and impactful communication.
This position reports to the Director of Communications and plays a vital role in enhancing public engagement. With a focus on IAP2 principles, you will execute engagement plans, lead community workshops, and develop targeted communication strategies. Your expertise will ensure the alignment of initiatives with community needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute public engagement plans based on IAP2 practices
• Lead workshops and community meetings for stakeholder input
• Develop strategies for stakeholder analysis and communication
• Assess engagement outcomes and establish success metrics
• Advise on effective public engagement tools and methods
Requirements:
• Accredited IAP2 engagement planning and design courses
• Five years of experience in community engagement
