Lead transformative change as The Mustard Seed's Shelter Manager in Kamloops, BC. This full-time role focuses on managing shelter operations and enhancing support for individuals facing homelessness.
As a key leader, you will report directly to the Director of Shelters. Your extensive experience in social services or mental health will guide staff training and intervention strategies. Collaborate with community programs to address guest concerns and support re-housing efforts effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage communication within the shelter team
• Develop training resources for staff preparedness
• Handle HR functions, including scheduling
• Investigate and resolve shelter-related grievances
• Evaluate policies and manage shelter budgets
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in social services or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in social fields
• Strong teamwork and leadership qualities
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
