This position is responsible for the mechanical equipment packages in mine processing and plant projects, coordinating and leading interdisciplinary meetings, determining scope, technical and design definitions, and producing cost estimates. The engineer evaluates design, modification, and review of mechanical components and systems, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
Major Responsibilities- Coordinate and manage mechanical packages as a technical leader responsible for deliverable documents and schedules.
- Develop engineering design for equipment and mechanical systems (pumps, HVAC, material handling, etc.) in mining projects.
- Perform calculations and analyses to support technical design recommendations.
