Domtar is hiring a Scaling & Quality Coordinator for a 6 to 9-month contract at the Atikokan Sawmill in Sapawe, Ontario. Ensure high-quality fiber supply through precise log measurement and compliance.
As a crucial part of the woodlands team, you will report to the Quality & Scaling Supervisor. Key responsibilities include conducting quality evaluations, adhering to safety standards, and maintaining accurate measurement systems for fiber volume. Your role will ensure logs meet both government and company requirements for optimal operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Measure and report log quality and volume
• Implement contractor-specific random sampling
• Administer quality measurement software
• Maintain scale facilities for fiber measurement
• Conduct weekly and monthly physical inventories
Requirements:
• 1 to 3 years of experience in scaling or forestry
