About the Opportunity
General Ledger Accounting Responsibilities
- Month end closing cycle including Recs and JVs.
- Assistingin the preparation of monthly financial reports.
- Assistingand overlooking year end and interim audit.
- Preparing reports for the bank and ensuring compliance.
- Daily bank reconciliation and maintenance for U.S. and Canadian bank accounts.
- Monthly accounts reconciliations and Year end entries / reconciliations.
- Maintaining intercompany schedules for loan, trade and interest.
- Ensuring intercompany accounts are reconciled monthly.
- HST, PST, QST and U.S State tax filings monthly.
- Review of various accrual and amortization entries.
- Assisting users with onboarding in Concur where they can submit their credit card expenses.
- Reviewing the journal entries prepared by junior accountant to ensure accuracy.
