Position
Tooling Engineer reporting to the Corporate Tooling Manager.
Responsibilities
- Manage tool builds to ensure craftsmanship and delivery requirements are met.
- Review and approve all tool designs prior to tool build.
- Evaluate and recommend tooling sources.
- Maintain and continuously refine company tooling standards.
- Support Engineering and Design activity from a tooling perspective, including early feasibility reviews.
- Develop costing standards for quoting tools for new business.
- Obtain and develop tooling quotes to support new business activity.
- Continuously seek opportunities to reduce costs, improve quality and reduce delivery times for tooling.
- Approve and sign off tools once they have been completed.
- Other duties as assigned.
