Design Development Sheet Metal Foreperson

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in sheet metal design and construction , ensuring alignment with project goals and constructability best practices.
• Participate in estimating turnover and pre-construction meetings , ensuring early trade engagement in design development.
• Review and provide feedback on design drawings, specifications, and consultant submissions for accuracy, completeness, and efficiency.
• Collaborate with project management and engineering teams to assess alternative design approaches and propose value-engineered solutions.
• Lead and participate in design development meetings , supporting coordination between field execution teams and consultants.
• Interface with Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) teams to ensure 3D models and shop drawings reflect design intent and are compliant with project agreements.
