About the Opportunity
The Dietitian is responsible and accountable for providing competent, safe, and ethical professional practice to patients, clients, families, and the community. The Dietitian advises on diet, food, and nutrition across all health sectors. This position provides leadership in team efforts to support the nutritional health of patients, including the prevention, detection, and treatment of malnutrition and medical nutrition therapy using the Nutrition Care Process. The Dietitian participates in the Dietetic Practicum and Internship program, including preceptoring and mentoring Dietetic students, and employs an evidence‑informed approach to practice.
About You
- Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition from a recognized university
- Completion of a Dietetic Internship Program
- Current registration or eligibility with the Nova Scotia Regulator of Dietetics (NSRD)
