Thissignificant strategic infrastructure leadership role sits at the heart ofGisborne’s community wellbeing. As Director of Community Lifelines, reportingto the Chief Executive of Gisborne District Council, your remit spans theleadership, response management and operational optimisation of the threewaters (drinking water, storm water and wastewater), river management and floodcontrol and the vital roading infrastructure assets right across Tairáwhiti.
Recentweather events have further reinforced to us all, the significance of thesecommunity lifelines – the right leader here will have a huge impact; steering ateam of approximately 60 across this hub, as well as an extensive network ofexternal contractors.
