District requires a 1.0 FTE TERM Itinerant Primary Literacy Teacher

Effective September 1, 2026 until June 30, 2027.

Successful Candidate Must

• Possess a Master's degree with a focus on literacy or recognized coursework and experience;
• Have a vehicle and a valid driver's license;
• Be willing to use own vehicle for District business as the work connects to this assignment, which will take place in classrooms across the geographic area (Tumbler Ridge, Chetwynd and Dawson Creek);
• Be flexible in scheduling so as to allow for after school presentations.

Successful Candidate Will

• Travel a minimum of weekly to Chetwnd, Moberly Lake, and Tumbler Ridge
• Have three to five years of successful literacy teaching practice at the Kindergarten to Grade 3 level.
• Understand and be able to apply literacy strategies that have been proven through research to have an impact.
