Job Summary
The Emergency Department Technician II reports to the Nurse Manager. Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, the technician performs multi-skilled activities to support a decentralized patient‑centered approach to patient care and achieve desired outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Registered Nurse in the emergency department with patient care duties.
- Complete online training modules, phlebotomy training, skill validations, and EKG training within six months of hire.
- Successfully pass each required test with an 80% score in two attempts; otherwise, separation from employment.
- Participate in unit‑specific training and demonstrate competency within the first six months.
- Work irregular hours, including rotating shifts, holidays, and weekends, as required by the emergency department.
