Job Description
We are a family in Oak Bay, Victoria, BC seeking a dedicated and compassionate care provider to join us to care for our 90 year old father with dementia.
There are 30 hrs available which includes weekends. We are looking for a caregiver who could eventually live in.
There is an option to rent a room and private bathroom in our father's house to start. Though we do not require overnight care at this time, it will eventually grow into that.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing care tailored to his individual needs. We place a strong emphasis on personal care, including bathing and assisting with daily activities to promote dignity and independence. He requires all his meals to be made and encourage healthy choices and wholesome food. He still requires stimulation and going out for walks or to attend community activities is of great enjoyment to him.
Our father owns a lovely dog who requires a walk twice per day and to ensure he has food and water.
