Job Description
The Electrical Engineer focuses on the design and engineering of power, lighting, grounding/bonding, special systems (e.g., telephone/ data, security, fire alarm), raceway, cable tray, and other electrical control and building support systems into the built work environment. Typical tasks and deliverables include power load, illumination, short circuit and voltage drop calculations; basis of design reports; code evaluations; one-line diagrams; plans; schedules; installation details; specifications; and coordination with manufacturers and construction trade partners. Tasks will include utilizing software for building information modeling, computer-aided drafting and engineering calculations.
