They bridge the gap between mechanical design and functional electrical systems for products like industrial control panels, switchgear, and custom server racks.
Core Responsibilities
- System Design: Develop comprehensive electrical schematics and wiring diagrams for components housed within sheet metal enclosures.
- Component Selection: Specify and source electrical hardware, including breakers, contactors, PLCs, and transformers, ensuring they fit within the mechanical constraints of the chassis.
- Automation & PLC Programming: Design and program control logic for automated systems, often using platforms like Allen-Bradley or Siemens.
