Electrical Supervisor - Utility & Sub Station - Steel Melting Plant
Job Description
We are looking for a talented and skilled Electrical Supervisor - Utility & Substation in Steel Melting Plant to join our multicultural and diverse team in Kuwait. You will be responsible for leading a team of technicians, ensuring equipment reliability, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve production targets safely and efficiently.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, plan, and oversee the construction and maintenance of electrical substations, power distribution systems, and utility infrastructure within the steel plant.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure that electrical systems meet the requirements of production processes and safety standards.
- Perform power system studies, load flow analysis, and fault analysis to ensure optimal design and operation of substations and power distribution networks.
- Develop and review electrical design documents, schematics, and technical specifications for substations and utilities.
- Coordinate with utility companies and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Optimize power distribution systems for efficiency, reliability, and minimal downtime by implementing smart grid technologies and automation.
- Carrying-out daily shift activities and follow-through the problems.
- Identify and implement energy-saving initiatives to improve overall energy efficiency within the plant.
- Supervise maintenance activities, including troubleshooting and repairs of electrical equipment and systems.
Job Qualification:
- At least a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- At least 8-10 years of experience in Electrical maintenance in Steel melting shop.
- Ability to read electrical drawings, knowledge of utility, substations. Good knowledge in the maintenance and troubleshooting of utility and substation facilities in steel melting plant.
