The Nanaimo Emergency Physicians Association provides emergency and trauma team leadership services in the busiest emergency department on Vancouver Island in a new, state-of-the‑art department. The Nanaimo emergency department is a referral center for the central Vancouver Island catchment area with an annual census of 70,000 patient visits and has back‑up from all of major specialties.
