Position Overview
Reporting to the CEO, the Engineering Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing Marid’s Engineering Department. This role combines technical expertise with people leadership, ensuring that structural steel designs meet client requirements, comply with applicable codes and standards, and represent the most economical and constructible solutions. The Engineering Manager plays a key role in design-build projects, supports estimating efforts, and provides mentorship and guidance to Engineers and Engineers-in-Training (EITs).
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, manage, and supervise the Engineering Department, ensuring workloads are balanced and project priorities are met.
- Provide mentorship, technical direction, and performance feedback to Engineers, EITs, and detailing/checking staff.
- Foster a collaborative, respectful, and inclusive team environment.
