Job Description

Engage in legal advocacy through the Environmental Law Clinic at the University of Ottawa. Teach students about environmental law while working closely with Ecojustice and community groups.
This part-time position is open for the 2026 Fall Semester in the Common Law Section. As an instructor, you will supervise students engaging in significant legal work on environmental matters. Candidates should possess an LL.B. or J.D. and have substantial experience in environmental law, specifically with Ecojustice. Ideal applicants will also have teaching experience, enhancing the learning experience for students.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise student advocacy projects on environmental issues
• Guide students in legal research and memorandum writing
• Develop and execute legal strategies for cases
• Assist community groups with litigation and law reform
• Collaborate with Ecojustice on relevant environmental cases
