Our Telecommunications group is currently looking to add an Equipment Operator to our growing team, based in Castor, AB.
Reporting to the Project Manager, Telecommunications, we are seeking an experienced operator to support underground FTTP and utility installations across Alberta. Main equipment would be a backhoe.
Duties and Responsibilities
Operate equipment in a safe, efficient and appropriate manorUnderstanding of soil mechanics and work with geotechnical engineers on density testing of soilsPlace telecom structures and pedestalsPlace underground and overhead fiber and copper cablesComplete daily equipment inspection formsParticipate in daily Safety Meetings and Hazard AssessmentsParticipate in daily work planning schedule meetingsHave a sound understanding of issues relating to ground disturbanceAssist ground crew in duties out of equipment when there is no operating work...
