Job Description
Under close supervision, the Custodian performs cleaning duties in assigned areas of the facility in both patient and non-patient areas; is responsible for cleaning and safeguarding of assigned areas; is responsible for assigned equipment; is responsible for determining supplies needed; is responsible for efficient usage of supplies; delivers clean linen and picks up soiled linen.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Able to perform all cleaning/custodial functions including but not limited to mopping, pushing and pulling carts, wall washing, vent cleaning, vacuuming, etc. Possess an understanding of procedures for the proper handling, storage, and disposal of chemotherapy and infectious/bio-hazardous waste. Possess an understanding of basic safety regulations and issues. Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions in English.
