Job Summary
Provide leadership in the development and improvement of the District's high schools.
Essential Duties
- Ensure that the mission and objectives for Horry County Schools are implemented through participatory decision‑making processes at the District and at individual sites.
- Monitor and respond to student achievement measures on mandatory state assessments.
- Ensure that high schools offer academic assistance programs for grades 9-12.
- Supervise and participate in the annual evaluation of high school principals.
- Work with high school principals to increase communication among teachers, parents, and the community.
- Monitor high school principals' hiring practices to ensure quality and diversity among staff members.
