Job Description
Enhance resident care at Extendicare as a part-time Registered Practical Nurse (RPN). Contribute to effective care plans and patient education in a collaborative healthcare team environment.
In this role, you will report to the Director of Health and Wellness and apply your nursing skills within an interprofessional team. Conduct detailed care assessments and documentation to meet residents' individual needs. Your efforts will directly impact residents' quality of life through comprehensive care coordination and treatment administration.
Key Responsibilities:
• Administer medications and maintain accurate records
• Create and manage effective care/service plans
• Educate residents and families on care processes
• Oversee nursing assignments for timely patient care
• Handle medical emergencies and provide first aid when needed
Requirements:
• Registered Practical Nurse in the applicable Province/State
• Experience with unregulated care providers preferred
