Field Support Technician - Journeyman Heavy Duty Tech/Mechanic
The Field Support Technician will be responsible for performing major mechanical and electrical diagnosis as well as diesel engine, hydraulic systems, and generator repairs. This job will require travel to various remote locations for extended periods across Alberta, BC, Saskatchewan, and into the United States servicing drilling rigs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair engines, transmissions, gear boxes, radiators, mud pumps and compressors within our drilling division.
- Troubleshoot and test generator set output as well as synchronizing control systems.
- Manage and maintain service truck, ensuring it is stocked with required tools and parts.
- Create and manage work orders to be submitted for equipment tracking purposes.
