ERM is hiring Field Technicians to join our global consulting firm as part of our archaeology and cultural heritage team in Whitehorse/Mayo, YT. The successful candidate will work with our team to complete archaeological field surveys. This is a full‑time, limited‑term role for a duration of 3 months, renewable.
Responsibilities
- Participating in survey and shovel testing.
- Assisting an ERM Archaeologist with data collection.
- Working in a team environment to meet productivity and safety goals.
- Fieldwork is shift‑work, scheduled as up to five, 12‑day shifts (including two travel days) to assist with pedestrian survey and shovel testing of landforms identified as having high archaeological potential and recording archaeological sites.
- Field surveys include travel via truck and/or helicopter, and walking in variable terrain to observe, identify and record heritage features.
