Main Purpose and Function
The Financial Analyst II is an integral member of the Financial Planning & Analysis team and reports to the Associate Director FP&A – Parks & Recreation. The role supports financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and strategic decision-making for Parks & Recreation and the Parks Board. Working closely with operational leaders and finance teams, the position provides financial analysis, business case development, performance measurement, and budget management support for annual operating and capital budgets. Through advanced analytics and actionable insights, the role identifies risks, opportunities, and efficiencies, evaluates funding strategies, and supports informed decision-making to help Parks & Recreation achieve its strategic objectives while maximizing service delivery and value for money.
